Therapy Success Story – Harold K.

Harold K. admitted to Morganfield Nursing & Rehab after a hospitalization. Upon admission, he presented with decreased upper and lower extremity strength, impaired sitting/standing balance, required increased assistance to complete self care tasks, had severe auditory comprehension, and was unable to fully make his needs and wants known.

Mr. K. received physical, occupational and speech therapy services 5 times a week for 12 weeks. During this time, he participated in various tasks to improve the deficits that he had endured while making great progress. He is now able to take himself to the bathroom, complete self care tasks with supervision only, and walk unlimited distances with a rolling walker. He is able to comprehend what others are saying and make his needs know to others.

Through hard work and perseverance, Mr. K. was able to overcome his obstacles and is able to perform his daily living skills with confidence and safety. It was a pleasure to work with him.
