Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Employee of the Month

My favorite color is pink. Reason I became a nurse. I’ve always wanted to be a nurse since childhood taking care of my mother before I even went to school. Unfortunately, she was in and out of hospitals my entire life and I made a vow early on that one day I would become a nurse, so I had the credentials and the heart to provide the care she needed. In doing so it spilled over into the rest of everyone’s parents as I made the geriatric population my focus along with the developmental delayed as I always felt like I needed to be their voice to sometimes defend them in getting their needs met from the bottom of my heart and soul.

Thank you so much for this nomination as you all have no idea how this made me and my residents smile so much smile. I never did this job or role for the money, and at times I don’t even call it a “Job.” I nurse people as if they are my own flesh and blood… Family isn’t always blood kin as we all should know. I love being part of these residents’ lives, and I strive from deep in my soul to provide top of the line nursing care from the bottom of my heart, just as if they are my own mom or dad. They help me heal as much as I help them.
