Success Story

Mr. S. admitted to MNR following recent hospitalization, where he was found to have pneumonia and general decline. With the goal being rehab to home, Mr. S. was highly motivated upon admission and ready to tackle all therapy tasks. He received Physical Therapy to improve his overall strength, ambulation and functional transfers. Occupational Therapy targeted safe reaching, ADL’s including toileting, showering and dressing, and balance skills. Speech Therapy addressed overall cognition, safety skills in his environment and memory/processing of functional and daily living tasks, including medication management. Mr. S. actively participated in all sessions and made great progress toward his goals. He greeted everyone in the halls, both staff and residents and was a joy to have in the facility. We will miss his humor, but wish him well at home!
