Letter from the Administrator

I am very pleased to announce that Doug Rodgers has joined the team at Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation as the Admissions and Marketing Director! Rodgers is a Union County native and resides in Sturgis where he is a City Councilman and serves as the Alcohol Beverage Control Administrator. Rodgers is very active in Union County and serves on many boards and organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Braves2College, Rotary, and is also a Director for the Union County Chamber of Commerce. Doug also serves on the board of the Sturgis Senior Citizens Organization. If you have any questions regarding the many rehabilitation programs Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation has to offer or have general questions, give him a call!

As the weather outside starts to cool, we are making some minor changes around the facility. Debbie H, the Business Office Manager, has a new family-friendly office to meet the needs of our residents and families. Jo F, our Human Resource Coordinator also has a new office to provide a confidential environment for staff members.

I also wanted to take a moment to inform everyone that our Corporate Office does not allow signage on walls to be placed using tape. All of our signage (including pictures, posters, paintings) have to be placed in frames – and this includes pictures or posters in residents’ rooms. If you would like to have something placed on a wall, do not hesitate to see me. I have found that Command(R) strips work very well! Our resident rooms are all freshly painted except room 29 and we are planning to get that done in the next few weeks.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know!

Happy Fall!

Mary Wood, Administrator
